so here is my weekly email. short and simple. im doing great, working hard in the heat and getting burned every day :P just kidding. learned how to make empanadas today and hopefully javier gets baptized sunday :)

haha ya i bet having separate lessons in YW is a good idea. that way they can sometimes have lessons about stuff the younger girls dont need very much. teach them about dating and such and how much God loves them. open it up to conversation and you might see some good results. its a confusing world... also teach them about loving and serving others. its basically the most important because thats how they will all feel needed and feel Gods love for them. that way they dont need boys to feel special and they wont make mistakes. 

i would love to go to Canada with you but i also am going to be a little crazy to go up to utah and see friends for a couple days and i need to buy a car at some point and i literally wont have clothes and such so i might have to work... not sure when exactly you are going to go but whatever you want. it would also be fun to help grandma and grandpa if you think i could help them. i was joking with my companion that i will be in three continents in one week (chile USA AUSTRALIA). ..haha 

and sure you can post my homecoming if you want

haha and i never heard of any policy about makeup and high heels but ya i started when i was like 14. i just decided to do it and you laughed and teased me i think. haha

and ya tell mandy i love dogs but im almost sick of them after being here. way too many dogs in chile... but right now i have cold sores from kissing a dog we are friends with and holding a cat during an entire lesson...:/

anyway, i am doing great. this week was a good one. we spent a lot of time walking around in the sun but in the end yesenia and her family came to church and we went to the temple with Sylvia to be baptized for her mom. that was the highlight of the month :) she didnt want to leave and even i got chills when they said her moms name...it was awesome. ill send pics next week or just show you the next week. also we went to Santa Lucia today for a zone activity and that was fun. i bought mom a nativity and some other souveneers. its fun to see the center of Santiago. i feel like ive been here forever but i dont actually know the tourist areas at all. but hey its ok i do know the chileans so its all good. in the end Santiago is just a bunch of old buildings :P

also i was thinking the othr day, our mission motto is `´trabajar, no màs´ and i realized its funny since our family motto is Work dont Whine :P i guess i was destined to come to this mission..

To answer moms questions. she is hna zanelli (in the pics) my companion at the time. from peru

and no i dont know what time we go to the airport,  but i think in the evening

we had a class for getting a job after the mission and such today all day so i will write more tomorrow but love you all!  my companions name is hermana aguilar. from chile (near osorno)

and it woul.d be fun to see the christmas stuff but if the tree is dead and its a fire hazard its ok haha but if you want to leave the lights up on the house or something that might be fun :)

But about your question about the despedida, i had to send invitations to all my sectors and such and now we have the events of go-homers like the clase de empleo and such so taht why i couldnt write yesterday. but all is well. it kind of stresses me out becuase as you probably know im not good with transitions. id rather just get on a plane and leave the day i have to go and not think about it for weeks before. but its ok. i just have to enjoy it. it also stresses me out because we have to write goals and such for our life after the mission and i still dont know what to do with my life so thats stressful. but all is well. everything will work out in the end.

anyway we are doing great. we have been trying hard to find new pèople to teach and such so lots of knocking doors but yesenia and her family and tamara and such are still doing great. we might get to go to the temple with sylvia this saturday :) i LOVE going to the temple with recent converts. its a super special experience because i love the temple and to go with someone for the first time makes me realize even more the Spirit thats there. sometime i wish i was a new convert so that i can do my family history from the beginning :P but its also good to know that there are always more people to look for and do the work for.

thats awesome that yiwei and amanda came to church!!! remember that baptism is the door to enter in the celestial kingdom. its only the door. after that we have to start running the marathon until the end. we dont have to be perfect to be baptized and we dont have to know everything there is to know. keep it simple and help them get baptized ASAP:) great job sharing the gospel :)

it was awesome to get to skype with you guys too!!! i was super happy everything worked out and i could overlap with taylor too. but i have to admit it kind of freaked me out because i didnt even recognize benjamins voice and natalie is super different and such. makes me realize how much time has passed...

but anyway, this week was good. for christmas we had dinner with isidoras family. they are awesome. they even gave us shoes. they know us too well :P  we had dinner and played in the park and then had to be in our house and in the morning we made pancakes and opened presents. thanks for the package!!!  love the clothes mom! haha but the chocolate isnt helping with my diet ....:P haha but it was super fun to eat my favorite chocolates and share them :) 

but this week is new years so we have to be in the house early. we will have to have a party there :P at least this year we wont be alone because we dont live alone ..

anyway theres not much else to say cuz i talked to you guys just the other day but love you tons and have a fantastic new years!!!

thanks for changing my facebook :) and ya i think its best if we just use skype and maybe its better the 26th? ill ask around. just give me an hour and ill find a place. you said like 5 or 6 my time would work?

so this week silvia got baptized. she was so happy and it was the most beautiful service ive ever been to. the other woman who got baptized is the mom of one of the members who ALWAYS helps us. she is like our mom here. she even brings us jackets when its cold and accompanys us all the time. anyway her mom is like 90 years old and she never thought she could get baptized because she couldnt remember the stuff but she learned everything with the elders and got baptised. she was also a miracle....

the members helped us and silvia shared how she felt a peace and a heat that didnt leave her even after the baptism.

it was awesome :)

tomorrow i get a new companion, a greenie :) that will be fun. ill send pics next week. cant talk much more this week cuz i gotta do my despidida photo and such but hope the pictures make up for it :)

anyway, im doing fantastic. we walked around a lot this week in the sun, it got HOT this week ... we are using tons of sunscreen and asking for water in every contact :P then we ask for the bathroom knocking doors to get in :P its  a perfect technique. also sometimes i ask for the bathroom just to be able to sit down for a sec..haha

but we have seen so many miracles again this week. i feel like all of the things i dreamed of in my mission are happening now, in the end. God wanted me to learn patience or something.. haha but Yesenia and her kids came to church sunday and we taught her the law of chastity and she said she is going to propose to her husband because she has already waited like 5 years :P haha but she is seriously awsesome. and for the first time in my whole mission , the husband is also willing and suporting her. he is a great guy. hope we get to plan their wedding :P it would make up for all the weddings i have had to miss while im here ..also her youngest kid is named benjamin and is 2, haha but anyway fransisca is also thinking about baptism, maybe this saturday. we will see what happens. and ariel passed his interview but still doesnt feel ready so he hasnt gotten baptized yet but its just a matter of time. also silvia STOPPED SMOKING!!!! we called her last night and she said the ¨blessing worked¨¨! and that she hasnt smoked since!! we were so happy my companion made a cake :P she is an expert chef and ive tried all kinds of peruvian foods and today she is going to make me leche asada cuz i requested it :P shes the best. my goal is learn to cook stuff from every comp and in the end i will be able to cook food from all the countries and so far ive been able to do it :)

also i bought stuff and chocolate and letters to send you guys but then the post office was going to take FOREVER so i couldnt sent it. sorrry haha but know that i thought of you guys while i ate the chocolate i was going to send :P

i will try to send a picture of the card i made mom. hopefully she can read it...
